Answer:

But through the 19th Amendment, the Voting Rights Act of 1965, and a broader cultural shift toward inclusion, the United States has become much more democratic. Yes, wealthy, White Christian men still have outsize power. White voters are the majority. Congress remains predominantly male. And it’s not at all clear that a Muslim or atheist could win the presidency. But those who aren’t wealthy, White Christian men have more cultural, economic, social, and political power than ever before. The overwhelming majority of adults can vote. White women and people of color hold some of the most powerful jobs, and non-Christian and LGBTQ Americans are at the center of some of our most important social movements. The United States in the past few decades has become more of a Multiracial Multicultural Fuller-Democracy.

Answer: The one-stop shopping these businesses provide is extraordinarily convenient, and prices are consistently low.

Explanation:

This sentence lists two advantages to shopping at national chain stores such as Walmart and Costco.

The advantages are that prices are lower and they offer convenience thereby saving people time on shopping because the wide array of goods they offer means that people can get most if not all that they need from these shops without having to hop from shop to shop to find different items.

In “Excerpt from Minuk: Ashes in the Pathway,” what is the narrator’s point of view about the life of an adult in her culture? U
lidiya [134]

Answer:

According to the narrator, the life of an adult in his culture was somewhat boring because, adults were forbidden to play and have fun, although it seemed that they wanted to.

Explanation:

The narrator realizes this when she sees her mother, grandmother and aunts running their hands and fixing her dolls, as if they miss playing with dolls and having fun. This makes the narrator find the lives of adults boring, because in her culture, adults were forbidden to play because they had too many responsibilities that should be met.

Play was limited to children only.
