The answer is 28
30 minutes is half of an hour so you have to divide 7 by 2 which is 3.5 and then multiply 3.5 by 8 to get 28

How do I solve for Log(x+3)+log2=3 ?
Rzqust [24]

Answer: x = 995

Step-by-step explanation:

In this equation our log doesn't have a base so it is given the default base of 10. This makes our equation really.

log_{10}(x+3) + log_{10}(2) = 3

Now we put every equation as the exponent of our base 10 looks like this:

10^{log_{10} (x+3)}  + 10^{log_{10} (2)} = 10^{3}

Now we cancel out the log base 10 and the 10. We are left with:

(x+3) + (2) = 10^3

Lastly solve for x

x + 5 = 1000

x = 995

The distance by rail from Leicester to Londonis 100 miles.
Zarrin [17]

The arrival time in london of a train that leaves Leicester to london at 11:50 A.M is 13:05 pm.

To calculate the arrival time in london of a train that leaves Leicester to london at 11:50 A.M, use use the formula below.

Formula:

  • Ta = [(d/s)+11:50]....... Equation 1

Where:

  • Ta = Arrival time
  • d = distance from Leicester to London
  • s = Speed

From the question,

Given:

  • d = 100 miles
  • s = 80 mph

Substitute these values into equation 1

  • Ta = [(100/80)+11:50]
  • Ta = 1.25h+11:50
  • Ta = 1 hours 15 minutes +11:50
  • Ta = 13:05 pm

Hence, the arrival time in london of a train that leaves Leicester to london at 11:50 A.M is 13:05 pm.
