The work of a student to solve a set of equations is shown:
seraphim [82]

Answer:

In step 3

4m = 4 + 4n

-4m = -32 -8n. (step 2)

If you add -4m, 4m you end up with

-4m+4m=-32 -8n + 4n +4

In step 3. the 4 was not added

continuing to solve 4n=-28, n=-7

The estimated number of organisms in a population after t days is shown in the table below. t days estimated number of organisms
Lelu [443]

Answer:

The function n=591.68(1.2056)^t best models the situation.

Step-by-step explanation:

The values in the table do not lie over a straight line because their slope is not a constant; for example

m_1=\frac{1250=860}{4-2} =195

m_2=\frac{1850-1250}{2}=275

we see here that m_1\neq m_2 therefore a linear equation cannot represent this situation.

The values in the table are increasing exponentially , therefore the equation modeling the situation will be of the form:

n=ab^t

we take two points from the table for evaluating a and b namely points (2,860) and (4,1250)

thus we have

(1). 860=ab^2

(2).1250=ab^4

From equation (1) we solve for a:

a=\frac{860}{b^2}

and put this value into equation (2)

1250 =\frac{860}{b^2}b^4

b^2=\frac{1250}{860}

\boxed{b=1.2056}

with this value b , we solve for a in equation (1):

860=a(1.2056)^2

a=\frac{860}{(1.2056)^2}

\boxed{a=591.68}

Thus we have the equation

\boxed{n=591.68(1.2056)^t}

If a sprinkler waters 1 over 15 of a lawn in 1 over 3 hour, how much time will it take to water the entire lawn?
Feliz [49]
Now, a whole, will be 15/15 or 1 whole.

now, the sprinkler does 1/15 of the lawn in 1/3 of an hour, how long will it be to do the whole 15/15?

\bf \begin{array}{ccll}
lawn&hours\\
\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}&\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}\\
\frac{1}{15}&\frac{1}{3}\\\\
\frac{15}{15}&h
\end{array}\implies \cfrac{\quad \frac{1}{15}\quad }{\frac{15}{15}}=\cfrac{\quad \frac{1}{3}\quad }{h}\implies \cfrac{1}{15}\cdot \cfrac{15}{15}=\cfrac{\quad \frac{1}{3}\quad }{\frac{h}{1}}
\\\\\\
\cfrac{1}{15}=\cfrac{1}{3}\cdot \cfrac{1}{h}\implies \cfrac{1}{15}=\cfrac{1}{3h}\implies 3h=15\implies h=\cfrac{15}{3}\implies h=5

So angles in a triangle add up to 180
Angle B is 50 and angle E is 90

90+50=140
180-140=40°(angle A)

Now the other triangle
Angle C is 62 and angle E is 90

90+62=152
180-152=28

40-28=12
hope this helped but I can't help with the second one
