Answer and explanation:

Simply putting it, when singing there is more stress on the vocal chords and body. Including the lungs. This is because Singing requires more control and more breath than speaking.

Also taking into account that one learned to speak long before learning to sing. Thus,  speaking is more natural to the human body than singing.
