b = 39 / 2 - 3 = 16.5

b = 32 / 2 - 3 = 13

Help please??
Solve using substitution:
8x + 2y=13
4x + y=11
Hoochie [10]
Solve for y in one of the equations.

4x + y = 11
Subtract 4x from both sides.
y = -4x + 11

Substitute y in the other equation.

8x + 2(-4x + 11) = 13
Simplify.
8x + -8x + 22 = 13
Subtract 22 from both sides.
0 = -9
