The British thought they had more supporters in the South
It was the "XYZ Affair" that led directly to an undeclared naval war between
the United States and France, since this took place as American diplomats who were sent to France in 1797 to discuss problems between the two nations were treated rudely (in their eyes, at least).
Not sure if this is meant to have options, but during the first time of President Franklin Roosevelt, many of the Supreme Court justices were opposed to the New Deal thinking it to be an illegal expansion of the executive's powers.
Roosevelt tried to counter by stacking the Court, which failed. He ended up getting the Court that he wanted over time as members died off and he replaced them with loyalists.
The Hebrew nation was split into the Northern Kingdom and Southern Kingdom. The Northern Kingdom was known as Israel and it contained 10 of the 12 tribes. The Southern Kingdom became known as Judah and it contained the tribe of Judah and Benjamin (I believe it's Benjamin). Just an FYI, the Northern Kingdom fell first and were taken into captivity. Then many years later the Southern Kingdom was taken into captivity.
Hopefully this helps. :)
