Which situation could best be represented by this linear equation?

24x + 38y = 520
sdas [7]

The term "which" has me thinking this is a multiple choice question but we were not given those so I can just make one up that can be represented by this equation.

KtreyB has been looking to invest his money into two different companies and today is the day he decided to pull the trigger. The first company he invested in sold their stocks at $24 per share. He decided to buy x amount of shares. The second company has a little more promise so their stocks were $38 a share. He bought y amount of shares here, what a steal. The total money invested into both companies ended up being $520, not too bad for a day on the market. Cheers to hopes of exponential growth!
