In this cartoon about the 1948 election, who does the man riding the donkey represent?
WITCHER [35]
Truman--the donkey is the symbol for the Democratic Party and Truman was the presidential candidate for the 1948 election.

There are a few cartoons with Truman riding a donkey for this election. Truman was Franklin Roosevelt's vice president and takes over after FDR dies in 1945.
This is Truman's first and only election with him running as president. He won the election against Thomas Dewey. Dewey was proclaimed the winner before the official count was over and in the end Truman won the election.

mash [69]

Answer:

b. were hunters and gatherers.

Explanation:

The first inhabitants of the territory that is now New Mexico were Paleo-Indians, the term with which the first settlers in the Americas are known.

In particular, the first culture in New Mexico was the Clovis Culture. This culture was composed of hunter-gatherers who used stone tools for different activites.

They hunted animals like mammoths, bisons, camelops, and horses (which were present in the Americas at the time, and later went exctinct in the continent). They also gathered a great variety of plants to complement their diet.
