100 POINTS FOR ANYONE WHO ANSWERS CORRECTLY

Now, Lara was in the living room which Peter and Leah had turned into a fort. Lara relished the playfulness of the twins and enjoyed their inventive games. They were well-behaved and full of affection. For two hours, the living room was a battle zone, and Peter and Leah defended their fort kingdom from Lara the warrior. The kids’ endless energy meant they left a trail of destruction everywhere they passed and only helped Lara clean for the last half hour. But the kids’ kisses and hugs made up for their lack of help. Which of the following statements should be included in an objective summary of paragraph 3? A The twins charm Lara by being well-behaved, kind, and loving. B The twins play around the house but do not help Lara clean up. C Lara is tired after playing in the fort because she plays for a long time. I'd say either A or D since it matches the context of the material.

It does not say that the kids did NOT help Lara clean up but it does say that she cleans up after them which is true in answer 'D'. It does say that the kids love did make up for them not cleaning up which can be used as a charm which goes back to letter 'A'.

zhenek [66]

Answer:

A Journey to the Centre of the Earth and is a classic science fiction novel by Jules Verne. It was first published in French in 1864, then reissued in 1867 in a revised and expanded edition. Professor Otto Lidenbrock is the tale's central figure, an eccentric German scientist who believes there are volcanic tubes that reach to the very center of the earth. He, his nephew Axel, and their Icelandic guide Hans rappel into Iceland's celebrated inactive volcano then contend with many dangers, including cave-ins, subpolar tornadoes, an underground ocean, and living prehistoric creatures from the Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras. (The 1867 revised edition inserted additional prehistoric material in Chaps. 37–39.) Eventually the three explorers are spewed back to the surface by an active volcano, Stromboli, in southern Italy.
