A. F(n) = 3n + 5 is your answer

Plug in the corresponding number to n to get F(n).

When n = 0:

3(0) + 5 = F(n)
0 + 5 = F(n)
F(n) = 5 (True).

When n = 1:
3(1) + 5 = F(n)
3 + 5 = F(n)
F(n) = 8 (True).

When n = 2:
3(2) + 5 = F(n)
6 + 5 = F(n)
F(n) = 11 (True)

etc. etc.

hope this helps

The answer is "F(n)=3n+5."

The numbers under f(n) are found by multiplying n by 3 and then adding 5.

0*3+5=5
1*3+5=8
2*3+5=11
5*3+5=20

The rest of the list follows the same rule.

Solve the following inequalities graphically on the set of axes below state the coordinates of a point in the solution set
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

A solution point is (2,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Graph the lines. If it is just greater that or less than, use dashed lines. I fits greater than or equal too, or other symbols like that, use a solid line

Use the test point (0,0). If it satisfies the inequality, shade the side of the graph with that point (you can use any test point, not just (0,0)). If it doesn't satisfy, then shade the other side

The Shaded area shared by both lines is the area of the solution

If the mean of 5 positive integers is 15, what is the maximum possible difference between the largest and the smallest of these
Vikki [24]

Answer:

if the 5 numbers are different, the maximum difference is 64

Step-by-step explanation:

We have 5 positive (different) integers, a, b, c, d and e (suppose that are ordered from least to largest, so a is the smallest and b is the largest.

The mean will be:

M = (a + b + c + d + e)/5 = 15.

Now, if we want to find the largest difference between a and e, then we must first select the first 4 numbers as the smallest numbers possible, this is:

a = 1, b = 2, c = 3 and d = 4

M = (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + d)/5 = 15

M = (10 + d)/5 = 15

10 + d = 15*5 = 75

d = 75 - 10 = 65

then the difference between a and d is = 65 - 1 = 64.

Now, if we take any of the first 4 numbers a little bit bigger, then we will see that the value of d must be smaller, and the difference between d and a will be smaller.

Which table represents a linear function?
zloy xaker [14]

Answer: 4th table

Step-by-step explanation:

Each time x increases by 1, y increases by 2. Since there is a constant increase in y for each time x increases by 1, the table represents a linear function.
