X=Since you have an angle, a hypotenuse, and the opposite side, we can use:

sin(x)=opposite/hypotenuse
sin(60)=x/8 (cross multiply)
sin(60)*8=x
√3/2*8=x
x=8√3/2
x=4√3 so the answer is B

Hope this helps

The company's profit can be presented by the polynomial : y^2-99500

Step-by-step explanation:

The profit is calculated by subtracting cost of production from revenue

Given

Cost = C = y^2+10y+100000

And

Revenue = R = 2y^2+10y+500

Hence,

the profit will be:

Profit = Revenue - Cost = R - C\\= (2y^2+10y+500) - (y^2+10y+100000)\\= 2y^2+10y+500-y^2-10y-100000\\= 2y^2-y^2+10y-10y+500-100000\\= y^2-99500

Hence,

The company's profit can be presented by the polynomial : y^2-99500

Which equation has the same solution as x^2-6x-14
lions [1.4K]
So,

First, notice that all of the answer options are in completed square form.  So all we have to do is complete the square for the initial equation and see which equation it matches.

x^2-6x-14=0

Isolate the constant term.
x^2-6x=14

Add the necessary amount to both sides (halve the x term and square it).
x^2-6x+9=23

Factor the completed square.
(x-3)^2=23

This equation is identical to the equation in option B.

The correct answer is B.
