Supplementary angles are two angles whose measures add up to 180° . The two angles of a linear pair , like ∠1 and ∠2 in the figure below, are always supplementary. But, two angles need not be adjacent to be supplementary. In the next figure, ∠3 and ∠4 are supplementary, because their measures add to 180° so

angle ∠ABC  90°  therefore subtract the 90 to 180 to get the final answer

180-90=90

Final Answer is ∠QRS 90

Answer:

The maximum possible amount that could be awarded under the two-deviation rule is $ 1.883 Million.

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find the maximum possible amount of the award, the formula is given as

                                                      x=\bar{x}+2s

Here

\bar{x} is the mean of the samples and is given as

                                                   \bar{x}= \frac{\sum_{i=1}^{n} x_i}{n}

s is the standard deviation which is given as

                                s=\sqrt{\frac{1}{n-1} (\sum x_i^2-\frac{1}{n} (\sum x_i)^2 )}

Putting values as

                             \sum x_i^2=23,465,528  \$ (1000s) \\ \sum x_i=20,180 \$ (1000s) \\ n=27

Substituting the values in the equation of mean is as

                              \bar{x}= \frac{20,180}{27} \\ \bar{x}= 747.407 \$ (1000s)

Where as standard deviation is given as

                     s=\sqrt{\frac{1}{27-1} (23,465,528-\frac{1}{27} (20,180)^2 )} \\ s=\sqrt{\frac{1}{26} (23,465,528-15082681.4815 )} \\s=\sqrt{\frac{1}{26} (8382846.51)} \\s=\sqrt{322417.17} \\s=567.81 \$ (1000s)

Putting this in the equation of maximum amount gives

                             x=\bar{x}+2.s \\ x=747.407 +2(567.81) \\x=1883.04 \$ (1000s)

So the maximum possible amount that can be awarded in this case is 1883.04 thousand dollars or  $ 1.883 Million. This value is less than the previously maximum value which is $3.5 million.

A metal alloy is 25% copper. Another metal alloy is 50% copper. How many grams of the 50% copper alloy should be used to make 10
Elis [28]
Well if the alloy makes the 1000 grams, but you are dealing with copper that isn't even 100% copper, than you either need 55% more copper, which isn't given, which means you really need 550 grams of alloy copper.

Sandy can fold 6 towels in 3 minutes. If she continues at this rate, how many minutes will it take her to fold 36 towels?
tekilochka [14]

Hey there! :)

Answer:

x = 18 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this equation, set up a ratio.

# of towels over time taken:

\frac{6}{3} = \frac{36}{x}

Cross multiply:

6x = 108

Divide both sides by 6:

6x/6 = 108/6

x = 18 minutes.

A={1, 2, 3, 4, 5} e B = {2, 3, 7}, determine o conjunto A - B, ou seja, os elementos que pertencem somente a A e não a B .
Lostsunrise [7]

Responder:

A - B = {1, 4, 5}

Explicação passo a passo:

Conjunto A - Conjunto B; Isso significa que queremos um conjunto que contém apenas elementos que estão no conjunto A, portanto, os elementos do conjunto A que também estão presentes no conjunto B estão isentos.

A = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}

B = {2, 3, 7}

A - B = {1, 4, 5}

Portanto, apenas] 1, 4, 5} são elementos do conjunto A e não do conjunto B
