Answer:

(-1-5i)/13

Step-by-step explanation:

You can't leave that i on the bottom of the fraction. Thats why it needs work. MULTIPLY the top and the bottom by the CONJUGATE of the bottom term. That means look at the bottom, copy those numbers but make the sign the opposite.

Your question:

(1-i)/(2+3i)

CONJUGATE:

2 - 3i

MULTIPY:

(1-i)/(2+3i) × (2-3i)/(2-3i)

You multiply fractions by multiplying top×top and bottom ×bottom, just straight across.

On top:

(1-i)(2-3i)

2-3i-2i+3i^2

2-3i-2i-3 Note: i^2=-1

-1-5i This goes on top.

On bottom:

(2+3i)(2-3i)

4-6i+6i-9i^2

4-9i^2

4+9

13

final answer:

(-1-5i)/13

If Benito is selecting samples of five values from the table, which row will result in the greatest mean? Population Data Row 1
Vilka [71]

Answer:

4th row will result in the greatest mean.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are asked to find the row with greatest mean from our given rows.

We will use formula \bar{x}=\frac{\Sigma x}{n}, where,

\bar{x}=\text{Mean},

\Sigma x=\text{Sum of all data values},

n=\text{Number of data points in sample}

Let us find mean of each row using above formula.

\text{Mean of row 1}=\frac{4+2+2+3+3}{5}

\text{Mean of row 1}=\frac{14}{5}

\text{Mean of row 1}=2.8

Therefore, mean of 1st row is 2.8.

\text{Mean of row 2}=\frac{3+3+4+3+2}{5}

\text{Mean of row 2}=\frac{15}{5}

\text{Mean of row 2}=3

Therefore, mean of 2nd row is 3.

\text{Mean of row 3}=\frac{2+4+3+4+3}{5}

\text{Mean of row 3}=\frac{16}{5}

\text{Mean of row 3}=3.2

Therefore, mean of 3rd row is 3.2.

\text{Mean of row 4}=\frac{3+4+4+7+3}{5}

\text{Mean of row 4}=\frac{21}{5}

\text{Mean of row 4}=4.2

Therefore, mean of 4th row is 4.2.

Since 4th row has the highest mean, therefore, 4th row will result in the greatest mean.

I’m confused on this one
Alenkinab [10]

Remark

I would have had the answer a whole lot sooner if I would have read the question properly. The figure in the circle is called a cyclic quadrilateral. It has the odd property that the angles that are opposite each other add up to 180o.

So DEB + DCB = 180o

DEB = 180 - 87

DEB = 93o

Note: The arcs marked 60 and 76 have nothing whatever to do with this problem.

The formula Y=X⁴-4X³+3X² is growing?
miskamm [114]

Answer:

The best way to know weather the formula y=x⁴-4x³+3x² is growing or not, is by graphing it.

As you can see in the attached picture:

  • For -inf<x< 0 the graph decreases.
  • For 0<x<0.634 the graph is growing
  • For 0,634<x<2.366 the graph decreases
  • For 2.366<x<+inf the graph is growing.

Therefore, the polynomial grows in the intervals stated before.
