'Seamus Heaney' in his poem, “Digging”, has used the connotation, nestled to define the comfort and relief his father is feeling while sowing the potatoes in the mud.

What is Connotation?

Connotation describes the meaning which is related to the word but is not the literal meaning of the word, it can be both negative or positive. Example Pink is a color, but it is used in the idiom" in the pink of health" to describe the good health condition.

In this poem, the word nestled is used as a connotation to express the feeling of relief, warmth, and comfort the father of the poet is feeling while he is farming.

Therefore, warmth and comfort can be associated with the connotation, nestled in the poem.

Which of the following lines from Shakespeare's Sonnet 130 most strongly that the narrator does not think the dark
Drupady [299]

Answer:

• Coral is far more red than her lips' red

• My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun

• My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground

Explanation:

In this sonnet, the speaker tells us of how his lover is not very attractive but that he loves her more than anything that is more attractive than her.

He talks about how her lips are not very red and how they are far from coral. He says her eyes are not like the sun which means that she doesn't have beautiful eyes.

Finally in a reference to how beautiful people walk as though they float, he talks about how his lover does not have this quality but instead walks on the ground.
