Social Studies

Answer:

Timmy is 48

Explanation:

This is because if you subtract 3 by 2 it will be 1.

Then you multiply 1 by the total number of apples which is 3.

Therefore, 3 to the second power which is how much he gave to sarah, is 9

Then you multiply 9 with the total children which is 2 children then the the answer will be 18

the square root of 18 is approximately 4 then you multiply the original number which is 18 with 4 then you get 72.

after that you cut one of the children in half and throw the other half therefore you have 1.5 children.

divide the original number 72 with 1.5 you get 48.

Therefore, Timmy is 48.

How many infants with at least one birth defect would we expect among the 837 ivf infants if the true prevalence of at least one
Firdavs [7]

According to the CDC, Central for Disease Control, 1 and 33 infants are born each year with a brith defect.  If the the rate for a least one birth defect for ivf infants is the same as infants conceived naturally then, in a group of 837 ivf infants there would be about 25 infants born with birth defects.

That answer was found by dividing 837 by 33.

837/33= 25.364

Since 0.364 is not a whole number we round to the nearest whole number, 25.

Answer: 25 Infants
