1. Coach Jimmy runs at least 5 miles a day.
vovangra [49]
X >/= 5

x "greater than or equal to" 5

Because he runs at least 5 miles, so therefore 5 is included. If you didn't want 5 included, it should read something like "Coach Jimmy runs more than 5 miles a day.

Giving the figure below, what is the measure of angle JKL
Lubov Fominskaja [6]

The measure of < JKL = 25+25 = 50 degrees.

Angle JOK = 360 -230 = 130 degrees , (where O is the center of the circle)

< OLK = < OJK = 90 degrees ( tangent to a circle)

< LOK = < JOK = 180 - (90+65) = 180 - 155 = 25 degrees

The solution is: < JKL = 25 +25 = 50 degrees

Cost A=0.6489

take the inverse cosine of both sides
Stolb23 [73]
I am not quite sure what the question asks for,
But this is what i assume it wants:

Cos A= 0.6489
In this given one, we basically find the size of the angle A
we do cosine inverse on both sides to get the size of the angle A
cos^{-1} : It looks like this in the calculator
cos^{-1} × cos A=cos^{-1}(0.6489)
(cos^{-1} and cos cancels out)
A=cos^{-1}(0.6489)
A=49.54°
check:
cos 49.54=0.6489 (its right!)
