Answer:

David Robinson is a great example of someone who accepts responsibility for their actions. David Robinson grasped the value of accepting responsibility for his own actions from a young age. Later, he postponed his NBA debut for two years to serve in the Navy. Throughout his NBA career, David Robinson was so involved in the community that the league's community service award is named after him. David Robinson is a moral and responsible individual. After noticing a need for high-quality inner-city education in his community, he launched the Carver Academy. Despite the fact that he was not personally responsible for the children's well-being, David Robinson decided to take the next step and help the youngsters in his neighborhood.

When an author uses the literal meaning of a word in the text they are

Please help
dem82 [27]

Answer:

Referring to the dictionary defenition of a word

Explanation:

This is because the author is using the word in a literal meaning and not in an expressional meaning like a poet does.

Example. The Main Character cannot break through the wall, Its pretty tough.

This is literal. The word " tough " is being used in its dictionary meaning since it means Hard.

Meanwhile a poet might use this as an expression of something else like

" He was heartbroken, the woman he loved had shattered his soul and it was a tough experience for him "

Tough is used as an emotional feeling of being broken down instead of its dictionary counterpart.

Hope it helped, sorry if Im wrong.

Select the correct verb form for the sentence. Every time a dog barks, my cat _____ that maple in the back yard and gets stuck.
vagabundo [1.1K]
The correct verb form is A. "Climbs."

The other verbs in the sentence use the present tense form, so the verb "climb" does too. The verbs used are "barks" and "gets." So the correct verb form should be "climbs."
