How does the practice of sati prove that Hinduism is a way of life?
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

According to ancient Hindu customs, sati symbolised closure to a marriage. It was a voluntary act in which, as a sign of being a dutiful wife, a woman followed her husband to the afterlife. It was, therefore, considered to be the greatest form of devotion of a wife towards her dead husband.

What did the Spanish believe about the religious views of the American Indians?
den301095 [7]
The Spanish conquistadors believed them to be infidels. They would read them a note from the Pope in Spanish that they wouldn't understand in which they would proclaim that their land would now be Spanish because Spain is governed by one true God, and after that they would slaughter them if they wouldn't surrender.

What was Andrew Jackson's perspective or opinion about Gibbons vs Ogden?
ss7ja [257]

However, the side he came down on in the Maysville Road veto was that the Maysville Road was totally local and therefore federal funds should not be used for local issues. Then again, he may have opposed the bill simply because Henry Clay supported it and those men hated each other.

So perhaps by his veto of the Maysville Road bill, he was saying he did not agree with Gibbons v Ogden but like I said, to my knowledge, there is no record on how he felt about it (but I am sure he had an opinion because the man had opinions about EVERYTHING
