Carbon dioxide consumption can be used to measure primary productivity in an ecosystem.

  • Primary productivity refers to the rate at which energy is converted to organic material by photosynthesis.

  • Primary productivity can be calculated by analyzing the change in biomass of producer organisms.

  • Primary productivity can also be calculated by analyzing the movement of carbon dioxide (consumption).

  • Primary productivity can also be estimated by analyzing the movement of carbon dioxide the movement of oxygen over time.

In conclusion, carbon dioxide consumption can be used to measure primary productivity in an ecosystem.

Mendel crossed a pure wrinkled seeded plant with a round seeded one. All the offspring were round seeded. Which trait is dominan
Marat540 [252]
According to this problem, this is an example of complete dominance, so the dominant allele would be the allele that codes for physical trait for roundness of the seed.

So the cross would be like this:
W = allele for round seed
w = allele for wrinkled seed

P1 gen = ww • WW
F1 gen = Ww
Since all of the offspring are heterozygous the result is that the dominant allele suppressed the recessive allele for wrinkled seed.

You meet a man on the street. He has 10 fingers and 10 toes. What is his genotype with respect to the polydactyly trait
Oliga [24]

Answer:

woman dd, man Dd

Explanation:

Polydactyly is a dominant trait that results in extra fingers and toes in humans. A man with polydactyly marries a woman with 10 fingers and toes. They have a child that has a normal number of digits. The phenotype of the man's father is unknown, but his mother has a normal phenotype. What are the genotypes of the married couple? (D = polydactyly allele; d = wild type allele)
