There are many advantages and disadvantages to social media you can use it for a good cause while others use it for not-so-good things. One of the advantages is you can share your life with others and show people who you really are. A disadvantage is that people are on social media to hurt others by bullying, harassing and so much more. It's good to have social media but it depends on whose hands you put them in.

Kids should have social media when they are 13 and up. No minor should have social media thinking they can do whatever they want to do. It is unsafe for them. But 13-17 should be mature enough to go on social media. They'll be able to make friends online with trust and responsibility.
