Answer:

Let the Width(W) = X cm

then the length(L)= (2+X)cm

Perimeter(P)= 60cm

P =L+W

L+W =P

(2+X)cm +X cm = 60 cm

2X+2=60

2X=60-2

2X=58

dividing both sides by 2

X=29cm

Width =X

Width =29cm

the width is 29cm

Length= (2+X)cm

= (2+29)cm

= 31cm

the length is 31cm

What is the smallest whole number that is a multiple of 5, 9, and 12?
Marianna [84]

Answer:180

Step-by-step explanation:

you start by finding the prime factorization of the number

5=1*5

9=3*3

12=2*2*3

the shortest way to find the factors is to find is most of them like example, at max, there are 2 two's, 2 three's and 1 five then you multiply them all together

4*9*5=180 and that's the answer

Electronics Unlimited sells TVs. There are 110 TVs on display in the showroom, and each TV is turned on to a random channel from
Lynna [10]

Answer:

 • Option B. There will be close to 40 TVs but probably not exactly 40 TVs not showing a sports channel.

Explanation:

There are a total of 7 sports channels and 4 non-sports channels out of 11 channels.

The probability that one TV will be not be showing a sports channel, P(not S), is:

 • P(not S) = number of non-sports channels / number of channels.

 • P(not S) = 4/11.

The best prediction on how many TVs will not be showing a sports channel is, the expected value, which is equal to the number of TVs mulitplied by P(not S):

 • P(not S) = 110 × 4/11 = 40.

Since this is a random variable, the expected value is not the exact number of TV but just a probability.

Hence, the answer is the option B: There will be close to 40 TVs but probably not exactly 40 TVs not showing a sports channel.
