Answer:

Photosynthesis removes CO2 from the atmosphere and replaces it with oxygen.

Explanation:

Photosynthesis removes CO2 from the atmosphere and replaces it with oxygen. By respiration, O2 is removed from the atmosphere and replaced with CO2. However, these processes are not balanced. Some organic matter is not oxidized. (I'm very sorry if I'm wrong but I believe it's that)

The process that takes CO2 out of the atmosphere is Photosynthesis because photosynthesis removes all the CO2 from out the atmosphere and it is replacing the CO2 with O2. When we breathe we take O2 from the atmosphere and replaces it with CO2.

Autonomic dysreflexia is characterized by a. hypotension and shock. b. hypertension and bradycardia. c. pallor and vasoconstrict
omeli [17]

Answer:

B) hypertension and bradycardia.

Explanation:

Autonomic dysreflexia is a syndrome which is characterised by the sudden rise in the blood pressure of the human. The disease is common in the people with a higher level of spinal cord injuries above the T6 level.

The condition occurs when some external stimuli like pain or irritant activate the involuntary response in the body which cause the blood pressure to rise (hypertension). This leads to the slowdown of the heartbeat (bradycardia) to restore the blood pressure but the body cannot restore the blood pressure due to the damage in the spinal cord.

Thus, Option-B is the correct answer.

Both normal and transient flora can become opportunistic pathogens. True or False
ElenaW [278]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

Normal flora are  microorganisms that are regarded as resident organisms, which can be found on or in an individual and do not cause any disease.

the transient flora refers to microorganisms that are found on the skin or the hands which are there through direct contact with person or object, and are easily removed by routine hand hygiene. Example is Norovirus that can cause stomach flu.

Opportunistic pathogens are microorganisms such as the bacteria and virus, which can only cause infection when the immune system is down. This means that , these organisms can not cause any infection as long as the immune system is ok.

In this case, the normal and transient flora like Norovirus can only cause infection when the immune system is down. That is why they are regarded as opportunistic pathogens.

The botulinum toxin (or Botox) is one of the most lethal toxin to humans with a killing dose of 1 ng/kg of bodyweight. In order
viktelen [127]

Answer:

The continuous use in aesthetics and other medical procedures of botulinum toxin is known, however there is no scientific evidence to support the doses necessary to kill a cell in humans, it is known that this toxin is measured in units of mouse oMU, referring a unit of notulin toxin is equivalent to 0.05 nanograms, with a lethal dose in mice of 0.00000033 mg and for humans from 1 to 2 µg.

It is known that in terms of its mechanism of action, it occurs by blocking the acetylcholine output of the presynaptic neuron, which generates muscle paralysis, making it possible to recover after approximately 3 months.
