Order: Pitocin 5 mu/min via Infusion pump
Available: Pitocin 40 units in 1000 mL Lactated
Ringers.
40 units = 40 x 6.667 = 266.68 mu
266.68 mu = 1000
5 mu = x
X = 1000 x 5/266.68 = 18.75 ml/hr.
The IV pump to be set on 18.75 ml/hr.

After having transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), a client returns to the unit with a three-way indwelling urinary ca
kolezko [41]

The finding that suggests that the client's catheter is occluded is that the client reports bladder spasms and the urge to urinate.

Why would this finding suggest occlusion?

The client in question has a catheter. This means that the client should not have issues urinating through this tube. The spasms indicate the bladder continuously attempting to void its contents, this together with the irritation and urge to urinate indicates that the tube may very well be occluded and thus not allowing the flow of urine.

Therefore, we can confirm that the finding that suggests that the client's catheter is occluded is that the client reports bladder spasms and the urge to urinate.

In the conversion of deoxyhemoglobin to oxyhemoglobin, O2 binds specifically to:
Digiron [165]

Answer: Option D. "Heme"

Explanation:

Deoxyhemoglobin can be defined as a form of which has no oxygen binded to the hemoglobin.

When deoxyhemoglobin is replaced with oxyhemoglobin then the oxygen binds to the heme component of the hemoglobin protein in red blood cells.

Each heme group has iron atom that has the ability to bind to oxygen (02) molecule.

Four oxygen molecules bind to a single hemoglobin protein.

Hence, the correct answer is option D "Heme".
