Order: Pitocin 5 mu/min via Infusion pump
Available: Pitocin 40 units in 1000 mL Lactated
Ringers.
40 units = 40 x 6.667 = 266.68 mu
266.68 mu = 1000
5 mu = x
X = 1000 x 5/266.68 = 18.75 ml/hr.
The IV pump to be set on 18.75 ml/hr.
