stepan [7]

Answer:

Intensive.

Explanation:

In this scenario, Mike is driving over to his girlfriend's apartment and decides to buy some gum. He could stop in a gas station, go to any grocery store, go to any discount store, or even buy some out of a vending machine. The reason Mike has so many options to buy gum is because chewing gum companies strive for intensive channel coverage.

An intensive channel coverage is a sales method which is typically focused on providing varieties of sales outlets or channels for customers to buy their desired products.

Companies operating under the intensive channel coverage, are usually aimed at saturating the market with their products, by using all available sales outlets.

Hence, Mike had so many outlets where he could buy gum from because chewing gum companies strive for intensive channel coverage in order to reach out to potential customers. Other examples of companies that use the intensive coverage channel are cigarette, beer etc.

bezimeni [28]

Question Completion:

Group of answer choices:

a. Due to the possibility of earthquake damage, Gubenator should decline coverage for the Freedom Tower.

b. Given the notoriety of the tower and the likelihood of positive press for providing coverage, Gubenator should insure the Freedom Tower.

c. Gubenator has the financial capacity to issue the policy.

d. Gubenator should insure the Freedom Tower only if it can obtain reinsurance for part of the risk from other insurance companies, since a total loss could be catastrophic to Gubenator.

Answer:

American Builders, Inc (Freedom Tower) and Gubenator Insurance Company

d. Gubenator should insure the Freedom Tower only if it can obtain reinsurance for part of the risk from other insurance companies, since a total loss could be catastrophic to Gubenator.

Explanation:

Option A establishes that the earthquake occurrence is a possibility and not a probability. That means it cannot be reasonably estimated that an earthquake may occur. Gubernator exists to insure property against the occurrence of risky events. It should go ahead and do its business. And it can spread the risk with other insurance companies through Reinsurance. Gubernator is not in the business of looking for cheap publicity, so option B is ruled out. Given that the Freedom Tower will only be one of the many properties insured by Gubernator, we cannot use its current capital to judge its capacity to handle the Freedom Tower; thus ruling out option C.

olganol [36]

Answer: $299574.17

Explanation:

From the question, we are given the information that a salt mine inherited will pay $25,000 per year for 25 years, with the first payment being made today. If the fair return on the mine is 7.5%, the amount that should be asked for it's to be sold goes thus:

Periodic amount = $25000

Return on mine = 7.5%

Number of years = 25

Selling amount will then be:

= 25000 + [-PV(7.50%,24,25000,0)]

= 25000 + [-PV(0.075,24,25000,0]

= $299574.17

You run the Social Security Administration. What about this chart might worry you?
AURORKA [14]

Answer:

The amount of taxpayers that are part of the "older generation" is slowly rising and is higher than the amount in 1997.

Explanation:

Remember to run a successful government, you must have the income in which to run the government programs. Most of these funds come from taxpayer's. In this case, it is clear that younger people generally make more as well as are generally healthy, leading to a large amount of input of money into the government, with fewer withdrawals. This would give a huge boost to the government budget. Older people on the other hand tend to not work as much, so their taxes are generally lower. They also withdraw more from the Government through Social Security, and so leaves the government with a negative balance from them in most cases.

The chart on the other hand shows a increase of percentage of older people, which leaves a large gap in between the surplus and the spending, leading to a decrease of funding for the government. If this continues, the government would lose money, and would have to cut programs or face collapse. To fix this, they either have to, like stated above, cut programs, or give more taxes. Both are unacceptable to the American Public, which is what makes the government, as well as the average citizen, worried about the US government's funding surplus.
