Rudolf Höss served as commander to  many concentration camps such as Extermination  and Auschwitz. After the defeat of Germany, convicted for all the brutal war crimes and was hanged to death in 1947 before the Polish Supreme National Tribunal.

During his trial, he has written his biography, which was published in English under the head Commandant of Auschwitz: The Autobiography of Rudolf Hoess. In his defense, He said he was just following orders.
