SInce one of the zeros is 1 - 2i, another zero has to be 1 + 2i.
You get a complex zero by taking the square root of a negative number, When you take the square root of a number you get two answers (unless you are taking the square root of zero).
In order to get -2i you had to be taking the sqrt (-4) which is + - 2i

Find the absolute maximum and minimum of the function f(x)=sin^2x+cosx
rosijanka [135]
Hello :
f(x) = sin²(x) +cos(x)
the dirivate is : f'(x) = 2sin(x) cos(x) -sin(x) because :
( sin²(x) )' =  2sin(x) cos(x)   and (cos(x))' = - sin(x)

f'(x) = 0  :  sin(x) (2cos(x) - 1) = 0
sin(x) = 0 : x = k <span>π    k in Z
</span>2cos(x) - 1 =0 : 2cos(x) =1
 cos(x) = 1/2 = cos( π /3)
 x =  π /3 +2k π  or   x = - π /3 +2k π
in intervall : <span> <span>[0 , 2π] :
k=0 : x= 0   f(0) = 1   ( </span></span>minimum<span>)
</span>k=1 :  x = π    f(π) = -1 (<span>minimum)
x= </span> π /3  f (  π /3 ) = 1.25 ( <span>maximum)</span>

In the figure, AB ll CD and<br>m4=85<br>What is m5
AveGali [126]

Answer:

85°

Step-by-step explanation:

m∠4  measures 85 degrees.

m∠4 and m∠5 are alternate interior angles.

The alternate interior angles theorem states that <u>all pairs of alternate interior angles are congruen</u>t, or equal.

m∠4 ≅ m∠5

So, m∠5 should also be 85° as well as m∠4.
