The model of patient-provider relationship they are enacting is the Priestly Model

What is a priestly model?

The Priestly Model is the most traditional, as it is based on the Hippocratic tradition. In this model, the physician assumes a paternalistic attitude towards the patient. In the name of Beneficence, the decision made by the doctor does not take into account the patient's wishes, beliefs or opinions. The doctor exercises not only his authority, but also power in the relationship with the patient.

With this information, we can conclude that the model of patient-provider relationship they are enacting is the Priestly Model.
