Cot(t)= cos(t) / sin(t)
Cos(t) = sqrt(1 - sin^2(t) )  But this is in quad 4, so  sin(t) <0
cot(t) = sqrt(1 -sin^2(t)) /  - sint(t)
cot(t) = - sqrt( 1 - sin^2(t) ) / sin(t)

A rectangle has a length of 8 and a width of x. Write a variable expression for the perimeter of the rectangle
natta225 [31]
Hi,

Since the perimeter of a rectangle is equal to twice the length plus twice the width, what you want to do here is P = 2(8) + 2(x) = 16 + 2x

Hope this helps! If my answer was not clear enough or you’d like further explanation please let me know. Also, English is not my first language, so I’m sorry for any mistakes.

From the given, there are 5 toppings available. If the pizza is to contain only two toppings, that is one of the five toppings and one of either tomato and cheese then, there will be 10 ways to prepare the pizza. Lastly, if we include the pizza with no toppings then, we have 11 types of pizza.

Write the point-slope form of the equation of the line through the given points through: (-3,-1) and (-2,5)?
nevsk [136]

The point-slope form of the equation of the line through the given points through: (-3,-1) and (-2,5) is y + 1 = 6x + 18

<u>Solution:</u>

Given, two points are (-3, -1) and (-2, 5)

We have to find that a line that passes through the given two points.

First let us find the slope of the line that passes through given two points.

<em><u>The slope of line "m" is given as:</u></em>

\text { slope of line } m=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}

\text { where, }\left(x_{1}, y_{1}\right) \text { and }\left(x_{2}, y_{2}\right) \text { are two points on line. }

Now, let us find the line equation using point slope form

y-y_{1}=m\left(x-x_{1}\right)

where m is slope

\begin{array}{l}{\text { Then, line equation } \rightarrow y-(-1)=6(x-(-3))} \\\\ {\rightarrow y+1=6(x+3)} \\\\ {\rightarrow y+1=6 x+18}\end{array}

Hence the point slope form is y + 1 = 6x + 18
