Written in 1928, The Crowd was written by KIng Vido et al. Played in a movie, the major character - John Sim is depicted as ambitious.

His ambition however foolish is what helps him to go through his work which was also depicted as routine.

Though there were lots of people in his job named the Assembly Line, John felt very alone and had to go through lots of challenges in his marriage. Hence the theme of the play.
