Answer:

Product means to multiply.

No more than 30 is basically it can be 30 OR less nothing more.
k(-5) ≤ 30
Thats your inequality.

Solution is easy.
-5k ≤ 30
Divide -5
k ≥ 6
k ≥ 6 since when you divide or multiply by a negative number the inequality is flipped.

k≥ 6 is your solution .

Answer:

Inequality: k+ (-5) \leq 30

Solution: k \leq 35

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we cant solve for the exact value of "k" we use inequalities.

Key words like "no more than" tells us that the sum of "k" and -5 MUST BE LESS THAN 30

so using that we can write an inequality that says k and -5 together can be any number but LESS THAN 30

so k+ (-5) \leq 30 tells us that k must added with -5 is LESS THAN 30

Also I'm not screaming just emphasizing :)

Now for the solution you want regular numbers on one side and variables on the other.

so we can keep "k" on the left side of the equation but we have to add the -5 to the left side so

-5+5=0  and 30+5 = 35

so our solution is:

Solution: k \leq 35

What is the solution to the equation <br> 13×3/4+x=7(1/4)
yan [13]
I'm going to assume you mean:

13 * (3/4) + x = 7 * (1/4)

Let's go ahead and simplify the right side.

7 * (1/4) = 1.75

So now we have:

13 * (3/4) + x = 1.75

Now let's take care of the right side. Multiplication before addition.

13 * (3/4) = 9.75

9.75 + x = 1.75

To isolate x, we subtract 9.75 from both sides.

9.75 - 9.75 + x = 1.75 - 9.75

x = -8

Hopefully I spaced this well. \('-')/

Write an equation of the line that passes through the point (4, –5) with slope 2.
Jlenok [28]

Answer:

y + 5 = 2(x−4)

Step-by-step explanation:

slope = 2

y = mx + b

-5 = 2(4) + b

-5 = 8 + b

-8    -8

------------------

-13 = b

y = 2x - 13, in other words --> y + 5 = 2(x−4)

So, y + 5 = 2(x − 4) is the equation of the line that passes through (4, -5).
