Real friendship means you can keep it real with me. When you don't have to go around the truth in fear of hurting my feelings but telling me straight up in the most loving way you know how. Friendship is when you love someone and think about them no matter how busy life gets.

It is both false and ironic because he would certainly have called on him nevertheless, regardless of the fact whether his wife likes Mr. Bingley or not. He didn't really do much about the whole affair, which is ironic because he makes it as if he had.
