You can distinguish qualitative from quantitative by looking at hints. The hint for quantitative variables, is that they represent amount in numbers. Whereas qualitative variables describe the extent of the amount. For example, the qualitative variable says that the results are high. The corresponding quantitative variable will present that the results reach as high as 90%.
