Two negatives make a positive so that is going to produce a positive number so -12÷-4 you just do normal division like always and it equals a great positive 3

Step-by-step explanation:

We're going to be diving -12 by -4.

<u>What do we need to know?</u>

Integer Rule - when 2 negative numbers multiply or divide, the product/quotient is positive.

<u>Solve using the integer rule:</u>

<u />-12 \div -4 =3 is the same as 12 \div 4 = 3

3 is your quotient.

(will give brainliest) find the value of x
Sedaia [141]

Answer:

x = 180 - [(180 - 3x) + (180 - 2x)]

Step-by-step explanation:

Start off by finding the angles of the triangle

Angle F = 180 - 3x

The angle across from I (which I will call I) = 180 - 2x

Angle G = 180 - (F + I)

Now that we know what G is, we know what x is because the Alternate Exterior Angles Theorem states that if a pair of parallel lines are cut by a transversal, then the alternate exterior angles are congruent. So pretty much X = G

Therefore x =  180 - (F + I) or otherwise said as:

x = 180 - [(180 - 3x) + (180 - 2x)]

I hope this is helpful :)

Please help! <br> I dont understand this and I need help with it.
zepelin [54]

Alright, so these type of word problems need to be broken down into sections you can understand.

You bought 100 feet of fencing at your local garden store to go around your garden.

Your garden is a square, with the side length being 13 feet. A square is a quadrilateral that has 4 equal sides.

If fencing goes around the perimeter of a garden (which it does, in this problem) then we need to find the perimeter of the garden - the perimeter of a square can be found by multiplying the side length given by 4. ( 13(4) or 13 + 13 + 13 + 13)

The perimeter of the garden is 52 feet.

A diagram representing the situation can be drawn as a square, filled in with little flowers, and along any side, write the number 13 once. Above the drawing, you can draw picket fencing *Google white picket fence for the basic shape* and write 100 underneath it.

To find out how much fencing is left over, we subtract 52 from 100 and get 48.

And that's where part iii comes in - you can explain all I have and then do 48 feet times $12.60

48 x 12.60 = $604.80

<em>(some really expensive fencing left over!)</em>

I hope I helped you solve this!! :)

Find the sum of the first 30 multiples of 8.
Anna11 [10]

Step-by-step explanation:

sum of the arithmetic sequence

a1 = 8

a2 = a1 + 8 = 8+8 = 16

...

an = 8×n

the sum of the first n elements of such a series is

n/2 × (2×a1 + (n - 1)×d]

with d being the difference between 2 consecutive elements (= the added constant).

so,

s30 = 30/2 × (2×8 + 29×8) = 15×(31×8) = 3720
