The pyramid has a greater volume.
The volume of the cone is 1436.7 ( to 5 sf )
The volume of the pyramid is 1437.3 ( to 5 sf )
Both of them is 1440 when rounded off to 3 sf. However , the volume of the pyramid is greater.
( so sorry I can’t explain well but I hope it helps )
The solution is in the picture:) hope you understand better!! Sorry if It’s confusing

A soccer ball was kicked in the air and follows the path h(x)=−2x2+1x+6, where x is the time in seconds and h is the height of t
madam [21]

The ball will hit the ground at 2 seconds.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The path of the ball = h(x)=−2x2+1x+6

Here,

x is the time while h is the height of ball.

When the ball will hit the ground, the height will become zero. Therefore,

h(x)=−2x2+1x+6

0 =−2x2+1x+6

or

2x2 -1x - 6 = 0

This is a quadratic equation, hence by applying quadratic equation formula:

x = \frac{-b +- \sqrt{b^{2} - 4ac }   }{2a}

here,

a = 2

b = -1

c = -6

Putting these values in formula, we get

x = \frac{-(-1) +- \sqrt{-1^{2} - 4.2.-6 }   }{2.2}

x = \frac{1 +- \sqrt{1 + 48 }   }{4}

x = \frac{1 +- \sqrt{49 }   }{4}

x = \frac{1 +- 7   }{4}

x = 2, -3/2

As the time cannot be negative. Therefore, the ball will hit the ground at 2 seconds.

LMNO~QRST find the value of x.
adelina 88 [10]
Since both trapezoids are similar, so LMNO is a scaled version of QRST by some magnitude
so we can easily use the concept of ratios to find x
in other words: x÷2=6÷5
so x=6×2÷5=12/5=2.4
x=2.4

Write the equation of a line that is perpendicular to y = 5 y=5y, equals, 5 and that passes through the point ( − 7 , − 5 ) (−7,
Jlenok [28]
The line of the equation perpendicular to y=5 and cuts through (-5,-7) will be given by
m(x-x1)=y-y1
where m=slope.
from y=0x+5, the slope of the perpendicular line m=0,
thus the equation will be:
0(x--5)=y--7
0=y+7
y=-7
The equation is y=-7

One number is 5 more than the other. Their sum is 33. Find the numbers.
dimaraw [331]

Answer:

19,14

Step-by-step explanation:

x=5+y

x+ y= 33

we will solve using substitution

(5+y) +y= 33

5+y+y=33

5+2y=33

subtract 5 from both sides

2y=28

y=14

We got y now we will find what x is

for this, we will substitute y's value (14) into the first equation

x=5+(14)

x=19

we got x too
