Black Americans are known to be commonly and historically faced with discrimination and sometimes abuse by medical personnels.

Due to the pandemic, this decriminination became obvious. Yamiche Alcindor who spoke with Dr. Vanessa Northington Gamble highlighted the facts and this hurtful legacy.

The common problem that they faced was that:

 • Some doctors ignore the patient complains and arrive at their own conclusion.

 • Health professionals especially doctors were been dismissive of their black patient.

 • Others refuse to believe patient words and some were very disrespectful.

An example is a case of Alie S. who had issues with constant fainting but because of the fact that she was black, the doctor refuse to listen to fact an said she has contracted syphilis when she was not up to the age of been able to contact the disease.

Which impact did the Trail of Tears have on the Cherokee people?
timama [110]

B. Many of them died during the migration.

Explanation:

The Trail of Tears was the walk the Native Americans did after being forced from their land by the United States government.

The U.S. government wanted to expand, but Native Americans were living in the land they wanted to expand into, so decided to move them to present day Oklahoma, where they were not planning on doing anything with quite yet.

The Indian Removal Act was officially passed in 1830, which finally made it so the Natives had to leave or they would be forcefully thrown out. They did not want to leave and some even tried to revolt, but it was no use, as they did not have the resources or man power against the United States government.

Since they did not leave while planned and had to be forced out of their homes, many were not properly prepared. They were forced to walk and be kept in camps along the way. Many ended up dying from diseases, starvation, or because of the weather. This walk is called the Trail of Tears, where thousands of Native Americans died.
