Prozac, Paxil, and Zoloft are all Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs).  They treat depression by increasing the levels of serotonin in the brain.  Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that carries signal between brain cells, and these SSRIs block the reabsorption of serotonin so it is more available to the body.

What role do protein, carbohydrates, and fat play in keeping the body healthy.
EastWind [94]

Answer:

"Carbohydrates are used for energy (glucose). Fats are used for energy after they are broken into fatty acids. Protein can also be used for energy, but the first job is to help with making hormones, muscle, and other proteins. Broken down into glucose, used to supply energy to cells. Your body uses amino acids to build and repair muscles and bones and to make hormones and enzymes. They can also be used as an energy source."

This is from uofmhealth.org I hope this helps

Explanation:

Basically:

Carbs=energy

Fats= turned into acid then energy

Protein= turned into amino acids and repairs your body/also energy if needed.
