First, what do you want your essay to be about? I can pick for you. Anyways here’s a quick thing I came up with
Opinion: I believe that public transport should be free in major city’s
Hook: Rain falls as you sprint to the bus station, you see the final person hopping on. “Wait for me!!” You scream. The bus jolts into a stop. You let out a sigh of relief and get on. “1.50$ please” the bus drive says, pointing to the cash jar. Reaching into your pocket, your heart stops. You forgot you wallet and you’re late to work. The driver notices and kicks you off the bus. If only public transport was free.

Body paragraph one: explain why you believe public transport should be free

BP 2: Explain the benefits

BP 3: Counter your argument by saying something like it’s not profitable for the city, but then say something about how it’ll help people

Conclusion: restate you information and end the essay by restating your opinion in a different way

There ya go, ez
Good luck :)

A commercial for a tutoring center that shows a grade school-aged boy blushing with embarrassment when his teacher calls on him
9966 [12]

The ad uses two aspects that help you empathize with the boy.

First that lots of people have problems with speaking in public. Shaking, blushing and sweating are usual consequences of this issue. Blushing is the "cutest" of these symtoms, and this, happening with a school-aged boy helps you relate.

Which leads to the next aspect: everybody in the target of the ad has already been a child, and all the issues and memories that it implies. A 50 year old politician blushing before a speech would not be as persuasive...

Therefore, in the three-way persuasive techniques list (along with Ethos and Logos), the "Pathos" is the one mostly used by the ad.

In the longer list, "appeals" and 'cliches" are clearly used.

Dear Sarah,

I hope you are in good health. I am happy to inform you that this year I will be celebrating my birthday with all my friends. You are cordially invited to my birthday party.

Due to exams in the last few years, I was unable to have a birthday party. But this year as all of our exams are finished, my parents decided to throw me a birthday party.

I have also planned a unique return gift for all my friends. The party will begin at {insert time that party will start} at our home on {insert date the party is on}.

I will be eagerly waiting for you.

See you soon,
