We are given with a quadratic equation and we have to factorise it , so let's proceed.

{:\implies \quad \sf x^{2}-10x+24}

{:\implies \quad \sf x^{2}-6x-4x+24}

{:\implies \quad \sf x(x-6)-4(x-6)}

{:\implies \quad \bf \underline{\underline{(x-6)(x-4)}}}

<h3>Used Concepts :- </h3>

To factorise a quadratic polynomial ax² + bx + c we have to split it's middle term bx into say mx and nx and it will look like ax² + mx + nx + c ,also we should split it such that it follows the both conditions below :-

  • m × n = c × a
  • m + n = b

To Factorize:

  • \underline{ \sf {x}^{2} - 10x + 24}

~

Solution:

\:  \:  \:  \:  \sf  \longrightarrow {x}^{2}  -  10x + 24

\:  \:  \:  \:  \sf  \longrightarrow {x}^{2}  - 4x - 6x + 24

\:  \:  \:  \:  \sf  \longrightarrow x(x - 4) - 6(x - 4)

\:  \:  \:  \:  \sf  \longrightarrow (x - 6)(x - 4)

Step-by-step explanation:

∠ABC= ∠DBE (vert. opp. ∠s)

(6x -7)°= (4x +23)°

6x -7= 4x +23

<em>Being</em><em> </em><em>x</em><em> </em><em>terms</em><em> </em><em>to</em><em> </em><em>1</em><em> </em><em>side</em><em>,</em><em> </em><em>constant</em><em> </em><em>to</em><em> </em><em>the</em><em> </em><em>other</em><em>:</em>

6x -4x= 23 +7

<em>Simplify</em><em>:</em>

2x= 30

<em>Divide</em><em> </em><em>both</em><em> </em><em>sides</em><em> </em><em>by</em><em> </em><em>2</em><em>:</em>

x= 15

<em>Substituting</em><em> </em><em>the</em><em> </em><em>value</em><em> </em><em>of</em><em> </em><em>x</em><em>:</em>

Angle G and H are vertical angles. If angle G is 45 degrees and angle H is 2x degrees, what is the value of x?
Veseljchak [2.6K]

Answer:

x = 22.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Vertical angles are congruent by the vertical angles theorem. Therefore is angle G is 45 degrees, then that means that angle H must be 45 degrees as well.

The value of x can be found by making the expression that represents angle H (2x) equal to 45 in an equation to solve for x.

2x = 45

Divide both sides by 2.

x = 22.5
