More trust and empathy since they were willing to give their lives for their country, when all they found when they returned was segregation and bullying from people who stayed at home comfortable when the African Americans that had fought, fought for their life in the battle grounds and the White Americans wouldn’t even thank them for their service.

Which statement about race relations in the North and South after Reconstruction is true?
Ira Lisetskai [31]
The answer is D. Though blacks were treated equally in the North, the South continued to be segregated. Despite the abolition of slavery, blacks were afforded the same opportunities as whites . Many of them were also harassed by mobs of white raiders in order to keep them from voting as well assert their superiority over blacks. Blacks couldn’t sit at the same table as whites nor could they dine at the same restaurants as whites. It took another hundred years for blacks to finally be accepted in the South.

explain how the u.s supreme court case Miranda v.arizona has impacted society? question worth 10 points please help
grin007 [14]
Miranda v. Arizona was a landmark case in which the court determined confessions made in police custody could only be used in trial if the defendant was informed of his or her rights to a lawyer and to remain silent first. This means that after this decision, many defendants were allowed to go free on practically a technicality.

A result of the Selma voting rights marches was that few Americans felt their effect. support for voting rights decreased. suppo
Ronch [10]

Answer: Support for voting rights increased.

The Selma to Montgomery march was a series of protests along the 54-mile route from Selma to the capital of Montgomery in 1965, where the protesters walked around the clock for three days. It helped highlight the racist policies that the state of Alabama imposed on its Black residents, in particular when attempting to register as voters. It was also notorious for the participation of Martin Luther King Jr., who had won the Nobel Prize in 1964.

It is widely attributed to be one of the forces behind the drafting of the Voting Rights Act.
