I believe it was negative. When the colonist arrived from Spain to Latin America, many Natives died and were killed, and I do not think that is such a great thing. I believe that the discovery of Latin America did contribute to many new discoveries such as foods and the columbian exchange that changed the diets of Europeans which made people more healthy and live longer. However, all these discoveries of animals, and foods lead to famine, death, and disease among the Native Americans hence also leading to slavery due to the many deaths of Natives, the colonist needed workers so, slavery then happened.

Select the correct answer.
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer:

C. Double Jeopardy Clause.

Explanation:

The Fifth Amendment of the United States Constitution provides a number of rights that a person has dealing with both civil as well as criminal proceedings. This Amendment included the "Self-Incriminatory Clause, Double Jeopardy Clause, and the Due Process Clause" among others.

In the case of Matthew, the Double Jeopardy Clause bars the prosecution from carrying out another trial on Matthew's case for the second time. This clause states that <em>"No person shall . . . be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb . . . . "</em> This means that a person cannot be tried more than once for the same crime.

Thus, the correct answer is option C.
