Around 1599, after the plays on English history, Shakespeare began with Julius Caesar (1599-1600) the cycle of Roman tragedies (remontanod in the classical style). Caesar, a particularly fascinating figure for Elizabethans, is murdered in the first half of the play, but remains at the center of the action through the attitudes and reflections of the other characters. An extremely humanistic work in the analysis of the subjects.
The most unique feature of “The Ninth” was that Beethoven included chorus and vocal soloists in the final movement. He was the first major composer to do this in a symphony.
