When a point is reflected across the x-axis, the y-coordinate changes sign, but the x-coordinate remains unchanged.

Answer with explanation:

When a point is reflected across any line, the Perpendicular Distance of that point from line , that is from Image and Preimage is Same.

→Equation of X axis is,⇒ y=0.

When point,P (2,3) is reflected across, X axis,then coordinates of Point after reflection will be , (2, -3).

PreImage = P(2,3)

Image = (2, -3)

Can someone help me graph this and solve the problem thank you

Y - 3 = -1/4(x - 4)
y - 3 = -1/4x + 1
y = -1/4x + 1 + 3
y = -1/4x + 4

ok....the y int is (0,4)....the slope is -1/4...
       x int can be found by subbing in 0 for y and solving for x
       y = -1/4x + 4
       0 = -1/4x + 4
       1/4x = 4
       x = 4 * 4
       x = 16....so ur x int is (16,0)

so first plot ur points (0,4)....and since ur slope is -1/4, go down 1 space and to the right 4 spaces, then down 1, and to the right 4....keep doing this and u will cross the x axis at (16,0)
