In a math test, there are 16 multiple-choice problems. Correct answer will get 6 points, and wrong answer will deduct 2 points,

and leaving the question not answered will get 0 point. Stan has one question not answered, at least how many correct answer(s) should he get in order to get total score not less than 60

Answer: 10 questions
So if he has one question not answered that stays at 0 points+ however many points he already has. He has to get at least 10 questions right. 10x6= 60

Which point represents a solution to the system y ≤ (1)/(5)x y > 4x-3 select all that apply
jeyben [28]
The system is

i) y \leq \frac{1}{5} x
ii) y\ \textgreater \ 4x-3

The solutions to this system, are all points (x, y) for which BOTH these 2 inequalities hold.

Check the points separately:

(5, 1)
i) 1 \leq \frac{1}{5} *5=1 True
ii) 1\ \textgreater \ 4*5-3=20-3=17 Not True

(0, 0)
i) 0 \leq \frac{1}{5} *0=0 True
ii) 0\ \textgreater \ 4*0-3=-3 True

(-2, -3)
i) -3 \leq \frac{1}{5} (-2)= \frac{-2}{5}= -0.4 True
ii) -3\ \textgreater \ 4(-2)-3=-8-3=-11 True

(2, 5)
i) 5 \leq \frac{1}{5}*2= \frac{2}{5} =0.4 Not True
ii)5\ \textgreater \ 4*2-3=8-3=5 Not True

Answer:

18 square units

Step-by-step explanation:

The top line has 5 shaded squares

The next line has 5 shaded squares

The third line from the top has 2 squares

The fourth line from the top has 2 squares

The fifth line from the top has 2 squares

The sixth line from the top has 2 squares

Add them together

5+5+2+2+2+2 = 18

18 square units

Choose a system of equations with the same solution as the following system:
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

Option A.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given 6x+2y =-6 ......(1) and 3x-4y=-18 .....(2)

Solving equations (1) and (2) we get

12x+3x =-30, ⇒x= -2 and from equation (1), 2y= -6-6(-2) =6, ⇒ y=3

Therefore, the solution for the given set of equations is x= -2 and y=3

A) Solving the equations 8x+4y = -4 ....... (3)and 17x+2y =-28, we get

8x -34x = -4 -(-56) =52, ⇒-26x =52, ⇒x=-2 and from equation )(3), we get -16+4y =-4, ⇒ y=3

Therefore, the solution x=-2 and y =3 match with the original solution.

B)Solving the equations 12x + 4y = 12 ....... (4)and 21x + 2y = −36, we get

12x -42x = 12 -(-72) =84, ⇒-30x =84, ⇒x=-84/30.

Therefore, the solution x=-84/30 does not match with the original solution.

C) Solving the equations 6x + 8y = −36 ....... (4) and 15x + 6y = −60, we get 18x -60x = -108 -(-240) =132, ⇒-42x =132, ⇒x=-132/42

Therefore, the solution x=--3  do not match with the original solution.

D) Solving the equations 6x + y = 15 ....... (5) and 15x − y = −9, we get 6x +15x = 6, ⇒21x =6, ⇒x=2/7

Therefore, the solution x=2/7  do not match with the original solution.

Therefore, option A) will have the same solution. (Answer)

A sample of 84 full electric cars was randomly drawn from a population with an unknown mean range μ (miles per charge) and a sta
forsale [732]

Answer:

(a) The test statistic value is -1.83.

(b) We accept the null hypothesis at α = 0.01.

Step-by-step explanation:

The information provided is:

 n=84\\\bar x=125\\\sigma=25\\\alpha =0.04

The hypothesis is defined as follows:

<em>H₀</em>: <em>μ</em> ≥ 130 versus <em>Hₐ</em>: <em>μ</em> < 130.

Since the population standard deviation is provided, we will use a z-test.

Compute the test statistic as follows:

 z=\frac{\bar x-\mu}{\sigma/\sqrt{n}}=\frac{125-130}{25/\sqrt{84}}=-1.83

The test statistic value is -1.83.

(b)

Compute the p-value of the test as follows:

p-value = P (Z < -1.83)

= 0.034

* Use a z-table.

We reject a hypothesis if the p-value of a statistic is lower than the level of significance α.

• p-value = 0.034 < α = 0.04. Reject the null hypothesis.

• p-value = 0.034 > α = 0.01. Fail to reject the null hypothesis.

• p-value = 0.034 < α = 0.05. Reject the null hypothesis.

• p-value = 0.034 < α = 0.10. Reject the null hypothesis.
