solong [7]

Answer:

Revelation

Explanation:

May I have the car keys?" is a familiar refrain to many parents of teenagers, and although it is almost a cliché for older adults, it may come as a revelation to many that the under-eighteen cohort is finding it increasingly more difficult to participate in the quintessentially American rite of passage—taking the car out for a spin without mom or dad in the passenger seat.

This is an activity or module from "The Age of Responsibility". This simply shows that as children transition into the teenage years, their weight of responsibility increases even as they learn to become less dependent on their parents or guardians. Ideally, as the year rolls by, the responsibility of the child should also increase. While for adults and teenagers (eighteen and above), requesting for the car keys is not much of a big deal considering they have crossed the age of responsibility, however, for a child under the age of eighteen, such thought of asking for the car keys (making use of the car without the parent's direct supervision) hardly crosses the child's mind
