By the year 1300 A.D. it was abandoned but the causes are not yey known. Some archaeologists think that they a large drought interrupt the supply of food.
The dwellings were built primarily with sand, adobe and wooden beams. They modelated the sandstone with harder rocks and they united everything with a mortar of soil, water and ashes. The doors are short and many people ask about it but the answer is that during that time the average height was less than 5.6 ft for men and 5.1 ft for women.
