EMPTY CALORIES

 • Empty calories are foods that are high in calories but low in nutritional value. Although it is well known that carbohydrates and fats contain the most calories, the nutritional value of a product is determined by the amount of vitamins, minerals, and other trace elements required by the body."Empty calories" are calories found in high concentrations in foods with little nutritional value (these are provided by other vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and other elements).

A simple example of empty calories: a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice contains 120 kcal while also providing the body with essential potassium and vitamin C. And a glass of carbonated sweet drinks with the same calorie content because orange juice contains no beneficial ingredients. Soda, it turns out, is nothing more than empty calories that do nothing for the body.

Empty calories can also be found in foods that have been heated for an extended period of time, but they often contain a lot of fat and sugar.

The purpose of the first aid guide, which is included in the first aid kit is to:
tatiyna

The correct answer is C. Explain how to use the supplies included in the first aid kit

Explanation:

A first aid kit includes basic medical supplies such as bandages, antiseptic solution, a thermometer, gloves, cotton applicators, among others, that can be used to deal with basic medical situations and emergencies such as minor injuries. Additionally, most first aid kits include a first aid guide, which lists all the elements of the kit and provides instructions on how to use each of these and in which cases it is appropriate to use each supply. For example, the guide should indicate an antiseptic solution is used in minor injuries such as cut to prevent infection. According to this, the purpose of the first aid guide is to "explain how to use the supplies included in the first aid kit".
