EMPTY CALORIES

 • Empty calories are foods that are high in calories but low in nutritional value. Although it is well known that carbohydrates and fats contain the most calories, the nutritional value of a product is determined by the amount of vitamins, minerals, and other trace elements required by the body."Empty calories" are calories found in high concentrations in foods with little nutritional value (these are provided by other vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and other elements).

A simple example of empty calories: a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice contains 120 kcal while also providing the body with essential potassium and vitamin C. And a glass of carbonated sweet drinks with the same calorie content because orange juice contains no beneficial ingredients. Soda, it turns out, is nothing more than empty calories that do nothing for the body.

Empty calories can also be found in foods that have been heated for an extended period of time, but they often contain a lot of fat and sugar.

What would happen if your immune system and your lymphatic system stopped working properly
sattari [20]

If your lymphatic system stopped working properly fluid would build in your tissues and cause swelling. You could get infections, blockage and even cancer. If your immune system stopped working properly too then you would most likely die. Since your lymphatic system is down and your immune system is down it would weaken your body tremendously meaning the smallest cold could cause death.
