Answer:

Indirect variation

Step-by-step explanation:

If two variables change in inverse proportion, then it is called indirect variation.

xy = k where k is a constant.

5*2 = 10

10*1 =10

15*\dfrac{2}{3}=5*2=10\\\\\\20*\dfrac{1}{2}=10

So, this is indirect variation.

I put $500 in a saving account that earns 6% interest compounded semi-annually. How much interest will be in the account after 2
Nuetrik [128]
\bf ~~~~~~ \textit{Compound Interest Earned Amount}
\\\\
A=P\left(1+\frac{r}{n}\right)^{nt}
\quad
\begin{cases}
A=\textit{accumulated amount}\\
P=\textit{original amount deposited}\to &\$500\\
r=rate\to 6\%\to \frac{6}{100}\to &0.06\\
n=
\begin{array}{llll}
\textit{times it compounds per year}\\
\textit{semi-annually, thus twice}
\end{array}\to &2\\
t=years\to &2
\end{cases}
\\\\\\
A=500\left(1+\frac{0.06}{2}\right)^{2\cdot 2}\implies A=500(1.03)^4\implies A=562.754405

now, "A" is the accumulated amount, including the earned interest, how much interest was it earned?  well, is just A - P.

I need help with #10 please! Thanks!
Anastasy [175]
√27 can be simplified. First we split it into √9√3 because 9*3=27. Now the √9 becomes 3. We can multiply this 3 with the 3 in the beginning of the problem to get 9√3 as the final answer

Hope this helps

In the diagram, ΔABC is a right triangle with DG⊥CB. What are the coordinates of G? A. (-1, -3)
Lisa [10]
From the divisions done in the line segment AB, segment CG is also one-fourth of the segment CB.
        (abscissa)      (6 - -3) / 4 = 2.25
        (ordinate)       (-3 - - 3) / 4 = 0
Add this values to the coordinates of C (-3, -3)
            abscissa   :    -3 + 2.25 = -0.75
            ordinate    :     -3 + 0 = -3
Thus, the coordinate of point G are (-0.75, -3). The answer is letter C.
