Answer:

9

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 43 animal books 29 art books meaning there is a total of 72 books.

+1

 4 3

   2 9

_______

     7  2

9 + 3=12 so add a 1 to 4 + 2 which= 6 + 1=7

And our answer is 72 .

If there are 8 shelves and each have same number of books then what is 72 divided by 8.

It= 9. to find out the answer even though we know we will use it's factors just to make sure our answer is correct.

9 x 1=9

9 x 2=18

9 x 3=27

And remember  the 9 represents the books and the number 9 is is timesing by is the shelf number.

9 x 4=36

9 x 5=45

9 x 6=54

9 x 7=63

And our last shelf 9  x 8=72

So there we go each shelf has 9 books on it.

Hope this helps have a great day:)

I need to know what to do and the answer
Anni [7]

You would take 180•15% to get 27 then you would subtract 180-27 to get 153. After you do the first you would do 200•20% to get 40 200-40=160 so the cheaper one would be the 180 because about 15% discount it’s 153 and 160>153

A principal of $2600is invested at 6.75% interest, compounded annually. How much will the investment be worth after 14 years
dedylja [7]

Answer:

$6488.19

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this problem we use the compounded interest formula:

amount  =  principal(1 + (r \n))^({n}{t})

a = $2600(1+(0.0675/1))¹*¹⁴

a = $6488.19

Determine the equation of the line that is parallel to y=23x+4 and passes through the point (3,7).
Licemer1 [7]

Answer:  y = 23x - 62

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Parallel lines have the same slope.

y = 23x + 4

  m=23   b=4

Input x = 3, y = 7, & m = 23 into the Point-Slope formula to find the equation or the Slope-Intercept formula to find b (you already have m).  I will choose the latter.

 y = mx + b

 7 = 23(3) + b

 7 = 69 + b

-62 = b

m = 23, b = -62  -->  y = 23x - 62

The next term of the square 3 by 1
nadya68 [22]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  (B)  1/27

Step-by-step explanation:

The terms of the sequence have a common ratio.

  (1/8)/(3/16) = (2/16)/(3/16) = 2/3

  (1/12)/(1/8) = (2/24)/(3/24) = 2/3

  (1/18)/(1/12) = 12/18 = 2/3

The next term will be ...

  (1/18)(2/3) = 2/54 = 1/27 . . . . matches choice B

Find the value of sin(a/2) if cosa= 12/13<br>
daser333 [38]

Answer: sin\frac{a}{2} = ± \frac{1}{\sqrt{26} }

Step-by-step explanation:

We very well know that,

cos2A=1−2sin²A

⟹ sinA = ±\sqrt{(1-} \frac{cos2A}{2} )

As required,  set A = \frac{a}{2}   &   cos a=  \frac{12}{13}    ,thus we get

sin \frac{a}{2} =± \sqrt{\frac{1-cos a}{2} }

∴ sin\frac{a}{2} =±\sqrt{\frac{1-\frac{12}{13} }{2} } = ± \frac{1}{\sqrt{26} }

   since ,360° < \frac{a}{2} <450°

             ,180° < \frac{a}{2} <225°

Now, we are to select the value with the correct sign. It's is obvious from the above constraints that the angle a/2 lies in the III-quadrant where 'sine' has negative value, thus the required value is negative.

hope it helped!
