A major benefit of the Arabian Peninsula, and the Anatolian and Iranian plateaus is that they have natural resources.

A major challenge however, is that their locations make transportation quite difficult.

The Arabian Peninsula is mostly made up of desert which means that getting around is quite difficult as there are little settlements.

The Iranian and Anatolian plateaus are quite high with this elevation making it quite difficult to get around as well.
