The grammar for this is confusing, since I would say, for example the first one, played. But this would be: play, rides, read, sleep, study, works, cooks, speaks, sings, dances. It’s a bit confusing. For the my dad work/works one, it would be works because he is doing it. If we were to use work for this, then it would be something like, “My dad goes to work everyday.” Hope this helped a bit

Which character is Chillingworth referring to? Therefore, what does he want to do?
Keith_Richards [23]

Answer:

Explanation:

Roger Chillingworth is a fictional character and primary antagonist in the 1850 novel The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. He is an English scholar who moves to the New World with, after, his wife Hester Prynne. Chillingworth, a doctor and student of alchemy, attempts to emigrate from England to Puritan Boston.

He is interested in revenge, not justice, and he seeks the deliberate destruction of others rather than a redress of wrongs. His desire to hurt others stands in contrast to Hester and Dimmesdale's sin, which had love, not hate, as its intent.
